This woodsy wonderland includes 7.5 miles of groomed snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails, as well as a 13-mile network of mountain bike trails that are popular among fat-tire cyclists in winter. Midland City Forest also has a toboggan run and even a lighted ice rink with open skating. The forest is open every day from dawn until dusk and is within walking distance of many Midland homes for sale.

    A unique three-legged footbridge in Chippewassee Park, the structure formally known as the Tridge is one of the most iconic and immediately recognizable landmarks in the Midland area. The bridge consists of a 31-foot central pillar supporting three spokes, each of which connects to a different shore at the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers. You can walk across the bridge from Chippewassee Park to the Midland Farmers Market. The Tridge also marks the beginning of two of the region's best hiking trails—the Chippewa Nature Trail and the Pere Marquette Rail Trail.

  • Fantasy of Lights Parade - 500 W. Midland Road, Auburn 48611
    What's a holiday without a parade? Show your seasonal spirit at Auburn's third annual Fantasy of Lights Parade on Saturday, December 14. Get a group of family, friends, or co-workers to dress up a car or float or simply walk along the parade route, not far from Auburn homes for sale. This year's theme is "Rudolph Kisses and Candy Cane Wishes," so dress and decorate accordingly. Stay afterward for the tree-lighting ceremony. Participants are requested to make a donation to the Toni and Trish House, which provides care for the terminally ill. Line-up begins at 4:30 p.m. for a 6 p.m. parade start.
